I’m a teenager, around 5″4 in height, and the last time I checked I weighed 169 pounds.
I’m on summer vacation so most of the time I’d just be in the house watching TV. So I decided on working out with Jillian Michael’s 30 day shred that includes cardio (jumping jacks, high knees, jump rope, etc), strength with 4-pound dumbbells, circuit, etc which is done 20 minutes straight everyday for 30 days. But I stopped for 5 days once and the worse of it is that I was eating unhealthy during the first weeks of the program. I feel like I didn’t lose anything in the previous weeks because of what I ate and my lifestyle.
And now I still have around half a month to finish the program and another half until school starts. I’m planning on repeating the program until June. I also use the stationary bike a few minutes after the program for 20-25 minutes straight, then rest, then stationary bike again after a couple of hours of resting. I usually exercise in the afternoon.
I’ve decided to start eating healthy and I’m eating:
steamed chicken (without skin and flavorings) with lemon juice,
raw apples with pure honey,
boiled/poached eggs without salt,
a little bit of white rice,
steamed cream dory fish ,
canned tuna,
high fiber bread
and laxative tea before sleeping (still wondering if laxatives work),
and I drink lots of water,
no juice and sodas.
(I mix them up, I don’t eat all of these per day.
)
Counting calories is not really my thing. I usually cook my food at home and most of those food have no calorie/ingredient labels whatsoever.
Will my exercise and new eating style work if I continue doing this everyday until June? Is losing 15 pounds possible?
